A microchip can be inserted between the pets shoulder blades with an identification that allows tracking back to you. Through the use of a scanner, the chip which is coded with an identifying number will be matched up to a national database. The database will house your contact information. The service provider will contact you and let you know where your loved one has been found.
What is a microchip?
A tiny, glass, inert capsule the size of a grain of rice containing an identification number linking you to your pet.
The particular chip we use has only 6 components (compared with 17 - 19 components in most other brands) and does not contain any lead solder.
It is also one of the smallest microchips on the market and independent tests show that the smaller the microchip the less likely it is to migrate. It can be scanned by all I.S.O. scanners, regardless of manufacturer.
